The Lymphatic System

Everybody has a Lymphatic System, a network of vessels (small tubes) that is used to carry 'infection-fighting' white blood cells throughout the body to help flush out toxins and waste. It is an important part of your immune system, your body's ability to fight infection and disease.

Once you understand the basics of the role of your Lymphatic System, you will be set up to understand the condition Lymphoedema. Here is a link to a short film that helps explain the Lymphatic System.
